KODE5 will have a new champion this season, as SK Gaming just defeated reigning champions from mTw in the semi-final.

In the first semi-final WICKED was put up against the ESWC Asia Masters winners from fnatic. The Swedes had since their victory in Cheonan, been continuing the great play through the KODE5 tournament. The Poles did not have many chances on first map inferno, where fnatic took home a 16:5 victory.



Moving on to train, WICKED played a great T side, which should have been put to more use in the end. fnatic then turned tables and played a great T side also, tying the match up. Two rounds of overtime and fnatic could raise their hands and find themselves in yet another final.

mTw was looking at recovering from finishing 5-8th at ESWC Asia Masters. To do so, they should win against SK Gaming. Everything went in favor of the Danes on first map inferno. Even with SK Gaming winning both pistol rounds, mTw won 16:4. Worth mentioning is also that mTw picked up both 2nd rounds. On nuke, SK Gaming showed great T play, and a reason why they chose nuke as their map. With seven rounds, SK Gaming had great cards on their hands. The Danes never got their T side going, which lead to SK Gaming winning 16:11.

Final map dust2, the battle field where it should be determined who would face fnatic in the final. A decent CT side for mTw pointed in the direction of them facing fnatic, but when SK Gaming got to play their CT side, things changed. A very hot Jimmy "allen" Allen made sure that mTw did not win easy rounds and was the force that put an end for mTw, as SK Gaming took home dust with 16:12 and now face fnatic in the final at KODE5 Global Finals.

The grand final will once again be an all Swedish, where SK Gaming will be looking at revenge against fnatic.
